　　Introduction and Information on the

　　Liebherr Group’s Business Development

　　Ladies and Gentlemen,

　　A cordial welcome to this year’s press conference here at Bauma China. In the next hour we will be giving you up-to-date information on developments within the Liebherr Group with a special focus on our activities in China. Please take notice that after our talks, we will have a short Q&A session before you will have the possibility to attend our handover ceremony of the first type LTR 11200 telescopic-boom crawler crane for the Chinese market.

　　But now, please allow me to introduce today’s speakers to you:

　　· Dr. Stefan Gilch is Managing Director of Liebherr Machinery Service (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. This company is responsible for selling and servicing our construction machinery in China.

　　· Mr. Christoph Kleiner is Managing Director of Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH, the production and also controlling company of our Mobile Cranes division. In Ehingen, Germany, Liebherr builds a wide range of mobile cranes with telescoping or lattice booms on wheels or crawler undercarriages. Christoph Kleiner is responsible for sales and marketing in the mobile cranes division.

　　My name is Winfried Boehm and I am a member of the Board of Directors of Liebherr-International AG. Among my responsibilities is the Liebherr Group’s corporate communication.

　　Before we listen to the first speaker, ladies and gentlemen, here is some brief information about the Liebherr Group’s progress in the 2010 business year. I will now present you the figures for the 1st half of 2010 and then give you an outlook for the whole business year.

　　In 2010, as you know, the world economy recovered more rapidly than expected from the downturn caused by the financial crisis. This year’s total world production will probably increase again almost as quickly as it did in the years before the crisis. Nonetheless, the powerful upward business trend will probably lose its impetus at the end of the year and in the coming year, and give way to a more moderate rate of expansion. In the same way, the dynamic world trade situation that arose halfway through the current year is also likely to slacken off again slightly.
